Q. How do I get the kayaks and paddle boards to the water?
A. While you are checking in at the shop our beach staff will bring the crafts down to Hunter Springs Park.
Q. How far is Three Sisters Springs from the launch?
A. Three Sisters Springs is roughly a 30-minute paddle.
Q. Are there manatees? Can we see manatees?
A. Yes, there is a possibility to see manatees because we have a residential population of approximately 30 - 40 manatees that live here year-round.
Q. When is Manatee season?
A. Manatee Season starts November 15th and ends March 31st.
Q. Do you offer stand up paddle board lessons?
A. Our beach staff will give you a brief SUP tutorial before launch, but currently we do not offer one on one lessons for stand up paddle boarding.
**However, we can recommend an excellent award winning coach for lessons at a low cost.
Q. What are the weight restrictions for SUPs? Single kayaks? Double kayaks? Canoes?
A. Singles: 225-275lbs
Doubles: 500lbs
Canoes: 600lbs
Jimmy Styx SUP: 225lbs
Perception HiLife HybridSUP: 280lbs
Bishop SUP: 300lbs
Clear-Bottom Double Kayak: 450lbs
All-Clear Double Kayak: 400lbs (200lbs per seat)
Q. Can I bring my dog on the kayak? In Three Sisters Springs?
A. Yes, you can bring dogs on the kayak and as long as they stay in the kayak they can go into Three Sisters Springs. No Swimming.
**There are no dogs allowed in the Hunter Springs Park so bring straight to launch for loading.
Q. What should I bring?
A. Wear a bathing suit, polarized sunglasses, hat, and Uv protective clothing. You should bring something to drink, a snack, sunscreen, bug spray, a towel and dry clothes.
Q. How long are your kayaks?
A. Singles are roughly 11.5ft, Doubles are roughly 13.5ft
Q. What are your age restrictions?
A. We do not have age restrictions. A minor may participate as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian capable of signing a waiver. We believe every child is different and it is up to the parent to decide whether they should paddle by themselves or with a partner.
Q. Are there alligators?
A. Yes, Any body of freshwater in Florida has the possibility of alligators. However, we have not had any problems regarding them and human interaction. They typically steer clear of us as we do them.
Q. Can I get lost?
A. Not unless you exit the Kings Bay. We'll go over the map and give you one to navigate with just before launch.
